Uncle Du 22 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) Also, I'm going to plug this guys blog for him, even though he doesn't know it. It's called Between the Pipes. He doesn't post every day, or even every week for that matter, but when he does, it's usually really good. More geared towards the more fanatical hockey fan. And, I found my most favorite article about bettman! Edited December 30, 2009 by Du
Princess 35 Posted December 30, 2009 I've posted that article about bettman before

Ender 8 Posted December 31, 2009 Flyers are out; I'm from New York, I absolutely cannot support a Philly team. And Detroit would be bandwagonning, I think.
Princess 35 Posted December 31, 2009 You could always do the decent thing and support your hometown team. The Jackets are struggling some, but they're a decent team. They've got a great goalie. They just need t o score some goals
Ender 8 Posted December 31, 2009 Baltimore's my hometown, not Cincinnati. :p
Princess 35 Posted December 31, 2009 My bad. But Baltimore doesn't have an NHL team, though I think that the Bruins are close as are the Caps
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2009 I believe most that live in Baltimore and care about hockey are Caps fans.
Ender 8 Posted December 31, 2009 Rangers and Islanders are closer than the Bruins. But hey, I'm not rushing; this isn't a decision I'm going to make lightly :p
Princess 35 Posted December 31, 2009 That's good. Hockey is not something to be taken lightly

Bad furday 57 Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) You could watch the Sharks "...when you're a shark, you're always a shark!" *snaps fingers* and join Ana in misery. - I've always liked the Chicago Blackhawks' uniforms/logo *random* Our Binghamton Senators' jerseys are almost and exact replica of the Ottawa Senators' jerseys, except the Binghamton one features a more cartoonish Roman legionnaire. Also...the mascot in the stands is inexplicably a cat...or a lion..hard to tell, really. Edited December 31, 2009 by Bad furday
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2009 Is she a Sharks fan? And if so, why would she be in misery? The Sharks are awesome!
Bad furday 57 Posted December 31, 2009 Really? I suppose they must have been playing horribly in one game...as her Facebook status said she was"watching the Sharks lose, wallowing in misery" or something like that....and I inferred them to be not that great? :???:
Princess 35 Posted December 31, 2009 Might have been in the playoffs last year when they got upset.
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2009 That could be it. But they did win the Presidents Trophy (which I think is a friggin' curse these days), and they're on track to make a run at it again this year. Right now, they're tied for first place in the NHL with the Devils. Which is odd in itself. I didn't think the Devils were going to come out and be this good this year. But Marty has been on fire and they have some good young talent. As for the Sharks, they are friggin' lucky that they got Heatley. I would be really surprised if they got upset again this year. And my Avs are holdin' down third in the West. :D And Detroit is holdin' down tenth. ;)
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2009 Avs/Wings tonight! Which I'm sure I won't get to watch. :p
Princess 35 Posted December 31, 2009 And I'm probably going to miss it too because of plans for tonight of dinner and a movie with friends

Mara 29 Posted December 31, 2009 At least the Wings are actually still managing to win with almost all their top scorers injured. Where are the 'Canes sitting at? Oh yeah, they're in last place Yes, but I don't whine every day about every time a player on my team gets injured or every time we lose a game. Oh, and the Pens lost AGAIN. Ahahahahahaha. I think that's 3 or 4 losses in a row.

Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2009 Holy freakin cattiness, sheesh. And as for the Pens, well, that's the second time in a week and a half that Brodeur has shut them out. That is soooooo freakin' awesome.
