That's like you telling me the Brewers are better than the Twins and I point out that the Twins have 2 World Series titles. BIG DEAL! The Vikes crushed the Pack TWICE this season. Uncle Du 22 Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) Holy sith, I just watched the most unbelievable, stupid chain of events occur in a hockey game that I have EVER seen. I'm watching the Penguins/Leafs game, the penguins are on a PP. Gonchar takes a shot from the point and the thing goes in, and it doesn't get called by the refs!! The play goes the other way, and a Toronto player gets a shorthanded breakaway. Gonchar, the guy who just scored, hooks the dude, and draws a penalty, which SHOULD be a penalty shot. When the play stops, they review it, and figure out that he scored. So, goal pittsburgh, yea, obviously, you could tell the damn thing went in. So that means that all the subsequent play is pretty much moot, right? WRONG. Gonchar GETS TWO MINUTES FOR HOOKING!!!!!!! If they're gonna put him in the box, why the hell doesn't Toronto get the ewokin' penalty shot?! This is EVERYTHING that is wrong in the league today. I don't even like the penguins and I'm on their side. Not that it matters any way, cause Gonchar stepped outta the box and scored again. I hate the NHL rule book. I blame all this on gary bettman. In that case the player shouldn't have gotten a penalty called against him because they would set the clock at whatever time the goal was scored and play on from there. So if the Leafs player would've scored on said breakaway it would've been wiped from the scoreboard. I just watched the Wild pull off on of the sweetest comebacks I've seen in hockey. We were down 5-1 after 2 periods, the Hawks had scored their 5 goals on 12 shots. Harding replaces Backstrom to start the 3rd and the Wild score 4 in the 3rd, 3 of which were like 5 minutes apart, and go to OT. After a back and forth OT we go shootout, and after 8 rounds the Wild win 6-5!!! It was unbelievable! :eek: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Well since I live in Minnesota I do root for the teams here, except for the NBA, I can't watch it.
