James the Defender 7 Posted August 19, 2010 So do plenty of analysts and experts Yes, unlike some of my Packer Backer contemporaries, my predictions are realistic. Notice I put Minn. as a Wildcard. I believe they're a good team, one or two wins less than GB. I HATE Minnesota! My most hated team in the NFL. No offense to fans intended, at all. I know they feel the same about my beloved Pack. However, if I was letting my emotions get the better of me, I'd leave Minnesota off my radar entirely. I put them on because with...that...QB at the helm, they have a shot to win. Mara 29 Posted August 20, 2010 I don't see the Lions on there! Urgh, the way baseball is going, hockey is looking better and better to me. It's nice watching your team's bullpen self-implode against the Yankees.
Princess 35 Posted August 21, 2010 Going to the Tigers game on Sunday. Actually gonna surprise my grandma with tickets tomorrow night because Sunday is her 85th birthday

Juat like every other Packer fan you're way to thin skined. I was just trying to get your goat. I will say that it's cool that you did this taking your emotions out of it. However I don't pt much stock into what NFL "experts" say. None of them really make predictions. They just spout off based on the previous season, and speculate on what might happen if players stats stay the same. Here's to hoping your predictions are spot on *raises glass* and may the best team win.

I'm not used to this kind of camaraderie between opponents...I live 20 minutes from Philadelphia :p

Master Hayes 1 Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) So I read the other day that D-man Aaron Ward retired from the Ducks. Edited August 26, 2010 by Master Hayes
James the Defender 7 Posted September 10, 2010 I am so concerned about Game 1 Sunday. The Eagles have always given the Packers fits. The Pack could be undefeated and the Eagles winless and all the players have pneumonia and they'd still give GB trouble! My stomach is doing flops that's how concerned I am! :(
Mara 29 Posted September 10, 2010 I just realized that Ray Whitney no longer plays for the 'Canes. :( *stabs the Coyotes* *after stabbing self for not paying better attention* On a nicer note, Rod's number 17 is gonna be retired in February.

Mara 29 Posted October 5, 2010 Yo, Hayes, excited for Thurs. and Fri.? I think NHL games in Europe are stupid, but, at least it's two games I'll get to actually see my team play on TV. (Cheers for time differences, and games at noon ET).
Princess 35 Posted October 7, 2010 I'm SO past ready for hockey season to start. Went to an OHL game on Saturday and it was awesome, not only was there great action, there were 4 fights and blood on the ice.
Mara 29 Posted October 7, 2010 Whoo-hoo, first win for my 'Canes!
James the Defender 7 Posted October 8, 2010 w00t! Flyers 1 and 0! Phillies up 1 game to zero under a no-no from the best pitcher in baseball! Packers 1st in NFC North! Life is good!
Mara 29 Posted October 8, 2010 Another win, wahoo! I should have recorded the end, though, so I could watch the awesome shootout goal by 18-year-old Skinner. But, oh well. But now it's time to go back to America, and play a bunch of road games. Don't play at home in Raleigh till the 27th, which sucks.

(Cheers for time differences, and games at noon ET). I was, and then they couldn't even get a win. Good for your squad, but I think the Wild might be a .500 team at best. Lots play of new faces, but if they don't play better D in front of Backstrom it's going to be a long season.
James the Defender 7 Posted October 14, 2010 Halladay v. Lincecum...wow...the game's going to last an hour, ten minutes... Phils take the series 4-1, they lose the sweep bid in Game 4 after Blanton leaves and Ryan Madson gets roughed up in the eighth. The Phillies won't rock the house, but they will win each game by a run or two. Go Phils!!! Best fans in the league! "The sense of knowing when to be quiet and when to make the stadium rock during Halladay's no-hitter against Cincinnati are examples of why the fan base is second to none in the Majors."--Thomas Harding, MLB.com. NLCS Phils-Yanks World Series, Phils in 5.
Mara 29 Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Nah... Texas over New York; San Fran over Philly. Then Texas/San Fran in the World Series. Probably Texas, but I wouldn't care if the Giants took it. I just really don't want the Phillies to win the series this year. No offense to you. (Just offense to Polanco). Yo, Hayes, excited for Thurs. and Fri.? I just have this feeling that my team is either gonna be really awesome this season or really bad. With all these youngin's it's hard to tell. I just really don't want the Phillies to win the series this year. No offense to you. (Just offense to Polanco). I love having Poly at 3rd and batting 2nd. We haven't had a pure number 2 hitter in a while. I was worried about his defense at 3rd, but he's been so solid this season. Phils have 8 more games to win. They'll take it, all the way. And Poly will be the MVP of the World Series :p
