TheUnknown 39 Posted June 16, 2011 Okay, sports teams in the city of Boston have won seven world championships in the past decade: two for the Sox, three for the Patriots (yes, they're not in Boston, but close enough), one for the Celtics, and one for the Bruins. Yet Atlanta teams have a combined one championship EVER. I can haz championship?
Pandora 77 Posted June 16, 2011 God I'm sick of Boston. Boston anything. So sick of it.
Princess 35 Posted June 16, 2011 I saw a picture of the Vancouver riots of a guy shoving a shirt down the gas tank of a police car to start it on fire and posing for the camera. Real genius there
Pandora 77 Posted June 16, 2011 THey're clearly sick of Boston too.
Drake 53 Posted June 16, 2011 That's exactly it. I was watching the live coverage on the news last night and there was one reporter down on the streets (the news building was right around the corner from where the riots were taking place). At one point, he was on-camera reporting about the looting...with the looting going on behind him. Sure enough, the idiots come out of the store and proceed to make stupid faces behind the reporter. They also torched Commissioner Bettman's car.
Princess 35 Posted June 16, 2011 They also torched Commissioner Bettman's car. I love that person
Uncle Du 22 Posted June 16, 2011 OK, whoever that guy was definitely gets a pass in my book. I did really like how loudly he got booed, but as soon as Timmy picked up the Con Smythe, and Chara picked up the Cup, they all started cheering. I thought the fans in the arena were pretty classy. Mara 29 Posted June 17, 2011 *shrug* Baseball has a special part of my heart. It's one of my earliest memories, spending time with my family, but especially my dad.
James the Defender 7 Posted June 18, 2011 I love baseball. Pitchers' duels are my favorite! I love the mechanics of the game. It's an intellectual game and--in the NL, at least--it pits minds against one another in managers to see who outfoxes the other. I love baseball.
Uncle Du 22 Posted June 19, 2011 Pretty sure no one can hold a candle to LA when it comes to riots. :p
