Uncle Du 22 Posted September 30, 2009 I'll be thinking about you during this game. You know it's weird. Look at all the teams that have those standout TE's and QB's that throw to them. Weird how they seem to win more often eh? Seriously, if Peyton didn't have Clark, where do you think the Colts would be? TE's are some of the most under-utilized players on the field (for the most part).
Mara 29 Posted September 30, 2009 I have the same feeling about the Phillies... They could've clinched this up early in Sept. but instead they're letting the Braves mill about. They're four up with six remaining to play... Their magic number is 3...They did have an eight game lead on the Braves just last week or a few days earler than that... Yeah, our magic number is 3, too... but we're playing the team right now who is right behind us. Grr. I hope the Twins choke. (Wishful thinking). Of course, if we do make it, we'll have to play the Yankees at home. So, yeah. I have a feeling the Tigers don't want to be in the playoffs. Rockies have a five game lead in the wild card...but no one cares any more. It's football season. I care. :p
Uncle Du 22 Posted September 30, 2009 Do I need to repeat myself? ;)

James the Defender 7 Posted October 1, 2009 PHILLIES!!!! w00t!!!!!!! Three seasons in a row!! Go Phils! WOO!!!! I was soooooo aggravated, however, when they showed the end of the Braves game where they lost to Florida, booting the Phils to the NL East crown before Lidge threw the last pitch to close the game out. Mara 29 Posted October 1, 2009 Just because you don't, doesn't mean no one does. Argh.. freaking Tigers are probably gonna lose today, so magic number goes from 2 to 4. Hopefully we can sweep Kansas City. And hockey starts! :D
James the Defender 7 Posted October 6, 2009 Well, here it is in the 3rd Quarter of the GB-MIN game. As I sit here, I can't help but think: When they don't give Aaron time, he get's sacked. When he has time, he hangs on to the ball and gets sacked. The defense is not reading Favre well...Favre, whom they know very, very well. On the goal-line stop, they needed to try another FB run up the middle. Oh, well, now the Vikings are marching upfield again... Well, they need to stop them, somehow. They've contained AP, but they're getting no pressure on Favre, none, zero, zilch, squat... So, Andy, what's up in the world of Cricket? :p
Uncle Du 22 Posted October 6, 2009 Hate to say I predicted that one. And how 'bout them Broncos?! :D
James the Defender 7 Posted October 6, 2009 I'm impressed by what the Broncs have done so far. And, it's not all bad, Rodgers had nearly 400 yds. passing while getting sacked 8 times.
Mara 29 Posted October 6, 2009 How 'bout them Tigers? Whoo.... I have a feeling it's not gonna be pretty in the Metrodome.

I can't believe the yardage he put up with the O line melting in front of him. How 'bout them Tigers? Whoo.... I have a feeling it's not gonna be pretty in the Metrodome. Isn't this the second year in a row there's been a playoff?
James the Defender 7 Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) Yup. Last year was Twins and White Sox. At least, I believe it was Twins. I know it was the Socks. I'm rooting for the Tigers b/c I have friends in MI (Prin and Mara) and also b/c a Minn. team beat my team last night and I don't like the state now. :p Edited October 7, 2009 by James the Defender
Uncle Du 22 Posted October 7, 2009 LOL, I love your logic, because I use the same type when it comes to sports. ;)

And this one ends 6-5 after 12 innings. Baseball is now officially over. For me. Sigh. Time to focus more on hockey! :D

Uncle Du 22 Posted October 7, 2009 There's a dude at the SW boards talkin' trash on Rogers. I had to set him straight. I can't stand it when people talk crap about a player just 'cause he's not "the last guy". Newsflash: he's playing for the team BECAUSE he's NOT the last guy. :p
Mara 29 Posted October 8, 2009 Yeah, I hate that, too.
James the Defender 7 Posted October 8, 2009 Me, too! Du, thank you for defending my friend! I have his Jersey. It hangs next to Favre's GB jersey in my closet. Needless to say, my Favre jersey gathers dust anymore. And, do the math 12>4 In baseball: PHILS WIN!!!!! :D
Uncle Du 22 Posted October 8, 2009 Figures the Rockies would be playing them in the first round. Here's a cool link. McDaniels was mic'd up for the Denver/Dallas game. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d8133b2d8/Sound-FX-McDaniels-wired
