Mara 29 Posted August 16, 2011 Congrats to Jim Thome on number 600. What a classy guy. I don't even mind much that it meant a Tigers' loss.

Bad furday 57 Posted September 9, 2011 *cackle* I Lol'd http://deadspin.com/5838786/visor+wearing-phillies-fan-proposes-at-phillies-game-to-girlfriend-holding-bud-light-so-now-they-can-go-have-horrible-phillies-children-together Especially at the title. And this comment from the commentariat: You have to admire how there[sic] love has grown - from that night they met (and banged) outside of McFadden's on 3rd Street to the night they legitimized the birth of their unborn, nerfherder child outside of McFadden's Ballpark. Funnily enough, I don't think she nodded or said "yes"...even with all the crying. Hmmmm
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 10, 2011 Ugh. My dearest Cardinals: We need to have a chat. Really, I'm embarrassed to be a Cards fan after tonight's catastrophe. Firstly, your offensive line needs some serious work. The defensive line did the best they could and gave you multiple opportunities to score and you didn't step up. First and foremost, you need to learn to hold the line. Secondly, you need to learn to catch the ball. The number of incomplete passes and interceptions was appalling. The quarterback should not be running the ball. He should be throwing it to someone else to run. I don't even know that much about football, but I at least know that. I'm really not holding out too much hope for the Kentucky game next week. The Cats are going to roll all over you. I'm thinking of switching sides. Love, ~JM
Ayingel 24 Posted September 10, 2011 Coach Kill from the U of MN suffered a seizure (maybe two) on the sidelines during the last 20 secs of the game
Princess 35 Posted September 17, 2011 Woohoo!!!! Tigers won the AL Central!
James the Defender 7 Posted September 19, 2011 *howl!* Phillies clinch NL East!!!!!! Must say, not as unexpected as (and therefore not as impressive as) the Tigers, lol
Princess 35 Posted September 20, 2011 Then the Tigers partied too hard and were all hungover the next day
TheUnknown 39 Posted September 22, 2011 It's apparent that the Braves are gonna dick around and lose their wildcard lead. Why in the hell is Derek Lowe still starting for the Braves?
James the Defender 7 Posted September 22, 2011 The Braves better win that thing. No hot teams coming into Philly. It's unacceptable with the Phils playing like a AA team...
Princess 35 Posted September 24, 2011 I'm going to the Tigers game tomorrow!

TheUnknown 39 Posted September 26, 2011 So, the Braves have continued to stink it up. Their lead is down to one game over the Cardinals. The Cardinals play the worst team in baseball; the Braves play the best team. This isn't going to be pretty.
Ayingel 24 Posted September 26, 2011 I'm sick and tired of the Vikings being a one half team. Defense keeps letting things through in the second half, offense doesn't seem to be trying enough...

The Cardinals play the worst team in baseball; the Braves play the best team. This isn't going to be pretty. Don't be so sure the Braves won't win two outta three. The Phils really couldn't care less about the last three games of the season. 100 wins would be nice, but, really, they don't care. Also, the Astros can put up a fight when they want to; they do have 59 wins after all and some have come against the Phillies. So, don't lose heart. I'm surely not. You think I want to face the Cards in the NLDS? HECK NO!!!!!!!!!
Princess 35 Posted September 27, 2011 I'm sick and tired of the Vikings being a one half team. Defense keeps letting things through in the second half, offense doesn't seem to be trying enough... How did they manage to blow a 20 point lead to the Lions?
Ayingel 24 Posted September 27, 2011 Exactly. Better question is, how are the Lions 3-0?
