Roethlisberger 0 Posted December 16, 2003 (edited) The Right Stuff: The Right Stuff is about the history of the Space Program. It starts in 1946 with Chuck Yeager breaking Mach 1, and ends in 1963 with Gordon Cooper going into orbit. The movie covers everything in between. Ed Harris stars as John Glenn and Dennis Quaid stars as Gordon Cooper. The highlights of the movie include the first time we see Yeager, when we see the pilots being tested to see if they are capable to become astronauts (the scene is hilarious. This is one of the funnier dramas I've ever seen), and virtually every scene with Lyndon B. Johnson and Gus Grissom. The real highlight, however is the scene when John Glenn goes into orbit and the last time we see Yeager. The movie is 3 hrs long, however that doesn't lessen the greatness of the film. Grade: A+ One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest: Jack Nicholson can really do crazy! This is the film that showed it. Jack delivers one of the best performances in the history of cinema in Cuckoo's Nest. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest takes place in a mental hospital and focuses on the war between Randle P. McMurphy and Nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher, who gives an outstanding performance as the evil Nurse). Christopher Lloyd, Danny DeVito, and Brad Dourif (aka Wormtongue) give outstanding supporting performances in one of the best, one of the most moving, and one of the best acted films ever made. Humans have banned emotions, to prevent another war, and keep them sedated through a drug called Prozium. To keep the law, a new form of law enforcement has been formed. The Grammaton Cleric uses the art of the gun kata to kick some serious ass. Cleric John Preston gets caught up in a plot to infiltrate and destroy a Resistance movement which embraces feelings. Expect some major fights that totally own as well as some deep philosophy. Better than the first Matrix, in my opinion. Too bad it had a limited release in North America. Grade: A+ Halo (game): The definition of awesomeness. This X-Box/PC game is THE best video game on the market today. Battle on the ringworld of Halo as Master Chief, one of the superhuman Spartan soldiers. Fight through overwhelming forces of alien Covenant and zombie-like Flood in your attempt to save humanity. There is everything from a Corvette Z06 to the Enzo Ferrari. The game also uses a unique system called Kudos that gives you points for making a nice slide and other nifty stuff. The original is by Don Henley and is an excellent song. and OutKast's "Hey ya" is just as retarded I can't believe I am hearing this! The video is the best one I've seen in years.
