Tsl 7 Posted January 9, 2004 Hey... I need a graphics card badly much, but I don't know what to get. I only want to spend around $100. Umm...I have an AGP 8x slot 1.8 ghz intel celeron processor 512mb DDR pc2100 RAM 60gb hard drive good ol' CD-RW and DVD-rom drives...oh, and the floppy, of course comp is an HP 522n, with a brand new Asus P4P800-VM mother board...cause I sorta blew the original one up last week Anyways, yeah. I currently have uber crappy Intel integrated graphics, which do fine with windows, but I wanna play KotOR, dangit! lol (besides, it eats my RAM) Anyone have any ideas? I would suggest either a GeForce4 MX440 64Mb DDR or ATI Radeon 9200 SE 64MB should be around the price range you want.

Had tonnes of DOS games on it, but it just diedon me, so I eventually bought a new comp with money from my temporary part time job, at McDonalds, in 2001

Andy 60 Posted January 11, 2004 You know, for the worlds most widely used operating system, Windows took long enough to get 32bit. They were still only 16bit until Win 95 came out, other OSs were 32bit as far back as 87. Makes you wonder how they got so popular.

True, im starting to get VERY annoyed at XP apart from disabling some of its stupid unused services. Im planning to put Gentoo onto one of my HDDS on my new pc. :D
