*dispenses medical advice on MSN*

JM, I think that he needs a thyroid scan :p

that was my first thought as well. although hypothyroid patients are more likely to be intolerable to cold than hot. but the drowsiness, weakness, and reduced metabolism definitely fit. probably won't get the Thyroid Uptake and Scan unless the bloodwork comes back a certain way. i'd try to remember what that way is, but i know people around here aren't interested and don't care.

I care, it's just that I don't really have anything to input that would be of any help. :p

Other than, hope you feel better! :)

You guys should make a medical advice thread then you can ramble on an on in your nonsensical gibberish words to your hearts' content. :p

Also, I think I saw this on House.

Yeah except the patient with the b12 deficiency on House had a 13 foot tapeworm in her intestines (or was it 26 foot?) :p

EPIC fail. That's some BS.

Oh well, if they think we can't watch all the other episodes of House, they're sorely mistaken. ;)

Silly FOX.

ABC, NBC and CBS all have videos of their shows on their web sites.

Well all that weirdness seems to have faded when the hot weather vanished. I guess it was just heatstroke or something lol.

Doesn't however explain the partial numbness of my right hand that I have now. I checked on the NHS website to see what it could be and it said to go straight to the Accident & Emergency unit of the hospital, so naturally I waited a few hours til I finished work and then went. And waited 2.5 hours to see a doctor who said it was probably nothing and to see my own doctor.

I have an appointment made anyway so I guess I'll talk about this instead. Interestingly, I now have pain in my left wrist in approximately the same place that is numb on my right hand. Pssh I can see this being a pain in the arse.

I'm guessing it'll will either be 'it's probably nothing' or 'omfg lets run one thousand tests'! lol

i would imagine the latter before coming to the conclusion it's the former. :p

Fox is a bit different from the others. i know it takes 8 days for an episode of House to be posted. but the episode in question was at least two seasons ago. Fox, i think, only keeps the last 4 or 5 episodes. no way they'd have a two-year-old ep on there.

Could be a slight sprain. I know that I've had numbness when I've sprained my wrist before. I sprained my left one pretty bad once, and I couldn't feel it till later that day...then it felt REALLY good. :p

Possibly, I guess. I'd have thought I'd remember something like that though. lol

Could be carpal tunnel too. Buy a $5 wrist brace and see if that helps until your appointment B

I already looked up carpal tunnel:

Usually only your thumb, index and middle fingers, and the side of your ring finger nearest your thumb are affected (see illustration). Carpal tunnel syndrome tends to be worse at night or first thing in the morning.

That's pretty much the exact opposite. It's on my little-finger side and is worse during the afternoon/evening. :/
