Oh, are we talking about the healthcare thing? 'Cause I could honestly care less either way. Whether it stays the same or changes, it's still gonna be ewoked up. :p

I want the Skynet thing to happen, cause at least then maybe I would have the chance to fight back. Gamma ray burst, well, can't really fight that. :p

The right wing extremists are saying that having a national health service will lead to "Death squads" choosing what treatments people can have or if it'll cost too much to treat them. We already have that though with private insurance companies deciding what treatments they will pay for and doing everything they can to not pay. There's so much fear-mongering with this that people don't understand the benefits of it.

That all being said. It's going to be run by the government so it's going to be ewoked up no matter what.

Well, they have a point. Look at all of those Northern European countries that have socialized medicine. Absolute hellholes. Sorry Norway, you can HAVE your highest standard of living in the world.

I heard that one misinformed guy was like "Stephen Hawking wouldn't have a chance in the UK, where the NHS would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his handicaps, is worthless."

What a douche.

That's just some idiot republican trying to scare people...which is about 90% of politics these days from either side. There are too many different factors on either side of this bill to just sum in it up one sentence. Just remember, that no matter what, the rich will keep getting richer, and we'll all be staying in the same tax bracket.

Why dude?!

Funny that... a study over here recently showed that the divide between the rich and the poor in the UK has widened rather than shrank like it was supposed to

Plus everyone is too busy trying to stay elected than actually do their jobs. I agree with my dad that the senate should have term limits too because public service should not be a way to get rich.

I have the feeling that at once elections roll around again, the republicans will say

"Obama couldn't set up a nationalised healthcare system, despite repeatedly telling voters he would."

While conveniently forgetting that they were the ones blocking every move to put one in place.

We may have to give up the Beagles... :(

Why dude?!

Well, we bought them to hunt, but we've raised them from puppies. I held them in the palms of my hands on the ride home. In my profile, that's Logan in the picture.

Well, our traditional hunting grounds have dried up due to a land dispute between my father and my cousin. It's so tough to find places to hunt since NJ is becoming way too commercial and developments are starting to reign over parsecs of land. Public hunting grounds are available, but idiots are there... Some hunters give other hunters a bad name. Only 2% of NJ's millions of residents are hunters, 98% aren't. .5% or less of that 2% is giving that other 98% a bad image about we good hunters, so getting private land to hunt is difficult. So, now, the beagles are not used for the purpose we originally got them. We don't have room in the house for them and they're pets, but not pet pets.

I love them. We raised them since they were wittle, wittle puppies, and it's so tough, but things are so tight, and since they're not being used, we may have to give them up... :(

apparently a new law was passes as far as buying houses go on the first of january. what this means is that the place we were going to move into until our condo stuff gets worked out through the bank (thank God it's that far already) doesn't currently exist. the people we were going to move in with went to go sign the closing paperwork and voila, fannie mae(or whoever it is who owns the ewoking house now) said that they won't close unless that form is signed...which means that the house may end up back on the market. now, we are living in the basement of the mother of the person we were going to move in with because she feels partially responsible for the form being signed. but we're only able to be here for a week.

not to mention that it was the hardest thing yesterday seeing my whole life put into a 10 x 10 storage unit.

ewok my life.

Job hunting, and Kian is there. I know some people that work for Lockheed, and they've been referring me internally for positions with them.
