CorSec 5 Posted June 29, 2008 question to Canadians: (mr. Drake effectively) Did you ever play Cross Country Canada as a kid? http://www.cdosabandonware.com/std_games_d...php?gameid=2133 It was effectively a command-line game about Trucking. You hauled cargo to Canadian cities and picked up hitchhikers who mugged you sometimes. It was the best game ever. OMG! YOU ARE MY HERO! Good sir, I award you over 9000 internets for this blessed gift. Somehow they used to let us play this game in school. I remember losing a truckload of SILVER to some guy I picked up between Edmonton and Calgary. Most commonly entered command: "speed", followed by "seatbelt off"
Drake 53 Posted June 29, 2008 I played it in school as well. And those were my favourite commands as well. Oh, the memories.
Mara 29 Posted February 26, 2014 Possibly the best DOS game ever is Wolfenstein 3D  I think it's hiding somewhere on this comp... Whether it runs or not is another question entirely... Super old callback - I found Wolfenstein 3D as an online version a while back... Just click here I went through the first 3 or 4 levels a few months ago... took me about 45 minutes each. But then I died, because I wasn't playing consecutively, and was using the level 1 gun on level 4, haha. Because I hadn't earned it earlier.
