Mara 29 Posted July 8, 2014 So Sunday night, there was an EF1 tornado 1-2 miles north of my house. It was supposedly 300-400 yards wide, and its path was about 6 miles. (And at one point the gust was 110mph... and EF2's start at 111mph.) The destruction is pretty crazy (LOTS of trees down and buildings damaged, not to mention power lines), but there were only a few injuries and no fatalities. So it could have been worse. Mara 29 Posted July 14, 2014 I'd like to pics and videos, but I don't want stalkers.
Princess 35 Posted July 16, 2014 Pffft, I'm the only one who vaguely knows where to go. Glad you're safe. I have a friend that lives in that general area too
Mara 29 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Google maps knows all. Hmm, can't get a link to this photo gallery, but maybe I can get the link to this video of an aerial view of the damage... Er, nevermind... here's a photo gallery. Just forget how near I said I lived. And video of aerial footage, shot with a drone. And thanks. Yesterday I drove by some of the areas; some of it's cleaned up but there's still a lot to go. Edited July 19, 2014 by Mara
Ana 15 Posted August 29, 2014 I am irrationally proud of Seattle for dishing up rain - even a little - to all the PAX convention people. You thought you were safe because it's August? Ha!
Bad furday 57 Posted September 1, 2014 They should have planned on it going to rain, because it was in Seattle
Ana 15 Posted September 10, 2014 Well it'd been in the high seventies and low eighties most of the month, so it was actually a huge turnaround. Me, I was ecstatic. Hate the heat.

Princess 35 Posted September 23, 2014 The tree in our front yard is usually the last one to change on the street and it's changing before some of the other trees on the street
Mara 29 Posted September 25, 2014 Everything around here is still green...

Princess 35 Posted October 28, 2014 Supposed to snow on Friday
Mara 29 Posted November 20, 2014 Crapload of snow here... Tuesday we set records for temperature (16 degrees F) and amount of snow (about 9 inches). By now, we've probably had at least a foot since Monday/Tuesday. And we're only 5 inches away from breaking the record for snowfall in November. Not really all that unusual... 'cept that it's November, haha. But at least I'm not in Buffalo, NY, lol. They've had 4 feet so far.
Andy 60 Posted November 21, 2014 I want 4 feet of snow; we never even get 4 inches. :p
Mara 29 Posted November 21, 2014 Uh, if you knew what 4 feet of snow did/looked like, you really wouldn't want it. And, it's official... my city broke the record for snowiest November. A record that had stood since 1895, haha. 29 inches and counting. And this is just mostly from the start of this week till now. But it's gonna warm up and rain in a couple days (after some freezing rain, yay), and will probably melt all over before temps drop again and ice it all over. Andy 60 Posted November 23, 2014 It's okay, I live upstairs so i can escape or the windows, and there's a food shop across the road. ;)
Mara 29 Posted December 28, 2017 *tries to defrost thread* Considering it was 9 below (F) this morning when I woke up... a hard task. So cold...
Ana 15 Posted December 28, 2017 If you got some precipitation, send it on over to San Francisco, and I'll send you a little spare warmth. It was a high of 61 today. That's just unnecessary this time of year.
Bad furday 57 Posted December 29, 2017 Please! It was 1degree when I went in to work this morning. So cold outside now....*hates it*
