Mara 29 Posted May 10, 2005 Whatever floats your boat. Okay... today there was an officer killed down in Battle Creek... It was just a routine interrogation of witnesses and apparently the guy was in the area... So he shot two cops. One later died, the other wounded. And all this is about two miles from my roomie's parents' house...so..... Yeah.

Ender 8 Posted May 18, 2005 I just got home from Cornworld, aka Iowa. And... Suspenseful, ain't it? The little son of a bith is smaller! The docs say that it's slowly breaking down, and will probably continue. Also, the ophthamologist said that once the tumor breaks down more, the bit of peripheral vision I've lost in my left eye will most likely return. And, even better, my pituitary gland decided to turn back on, so no more hormone replacement!
Sentrosi 1 Posted May 18, 2005 YAY... good going pituitary gland... on another serious note... im gonna try (again) to quit smoking... this being like the 20th time... but im alot more motivated... wish me luck and all that :D

Ayingel 24 Posted May 19, 2005 Well, you guys, this is it. We may have found them. The person. The people. The one's who saved my dad's life. In the mail we recently got an invitation to a DONOR's Banquet from LifeSource (the group that found my dad's liver). Well...we're recipients. But because we got the invitation from the Governor of South Dakota, we think that we may have found the family of the wonderful person who checked 'yes' to being an organ donor on their driver's license. I'm really nervous, as I haven't heard back that this is where we will meet them, but please remember us and them in your prayers and pray that it is them and they are the reason that we are invited to that banquet! Mara 29 Posted May 27, 2005 You're in my thoughts, Senny. Okay, my grandma finally came home on Sunday.... But.... Also last weekend, my uncle was admitted for pancreatitis. And now apparently he also has pneumonia. He's been on meds but I guess he's had moments of dilerium or something. I really don't know what's going on. But my other uncle flew up from SC, so.... SoftballJedi 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Yesterday, the woman in the delivery room next to my mom's (she had been in delivery since before 10 AM, and this was at 7 PM I think) died. They don't entirely know what happened. The child is fine. But she had two other kids, a girl about twelve and a boy about nine. We heard the girl's screams and cries down the hall. She was screaming "Why?" for awhile. It was heartbreaking. And we found out that the boy was mad at his mom because of a baseball game. He never got to say sorry. And today my older brother's best friend tells us that he knew the lady that died, he and his girlfriend were at a party with her that night (or morning?) before. Weird. So, please maybe pray for this family if you can.

Princess 35 Posted July 4, 2005 Very true. I got a phone call last week from our labor and delivery section that they had a delivery going bad and needed the type and screen done stat. Glad I wasn't in bloodbank that night
