Princess 35 Posted August 27, 2010 I don't know who else saw on Facebook, but Sticks just started a year long deployment to Iraq, let's keep her in our thoughts and prayers
Princess 35 Posted November 21, 2010 My mom's in the hospital with pneumonia getting IV antibiotics until Tuesday.
Ayingel 24 Posted December 4, 2010 Please keep the friends and family of my friend Tyler in your thoughts and prayers. Between 5:30 and 7:00 pm on Thursday (7:00 was when I found out), he was found dead in his parents' garage while working on his car (the time is approximate, as he didn't show up to work, and that's how many people were notified). It's been rough for me, so I can't imagine how rough it's been for everyone else, especially his little sister.

Jake Durron 23 Posted January 28, 2011 So my grandparents are stuck somewhere in Egypt right now... I'd really appreciate prayers for their safety while we wait for information from them!

Pandora 77 Posted March 12, 2011 The other day a Memphis legend passed away. "Bad Dog", as the city knew him, was a local radio personality for years, and Thursday afternoon he lost his battle with cancer. He'd dedicated so much of his life raising money for and supporting St. Jude research hospital and the Ronald McDonald House (if you haven't heard of St. Jude, they're a children's hospital that, as long as a child has a disease that they are researching, they will treat completely free of charge. Ronald McDonald House is where the children and their parents stay when they are from out of town or if they can't afford to stay anywhere else. They rely entirely on donations). The tragic irony is that it was the very thing he fought alongside all those children against was what killed him. He was the single father of two young boys, the oldest of which I think is in his teens. I suppose even the angels need a laugh during rush hour...
Jake Durron 23 Posted March 15, 2011 My little sister just tried to commit suicide. She's in the icu right now after od-ing on benedryl. She had a seizure in the bus on the way to the hospital and I'm not sure exactly how stable she is medically. This is like the eighth attempt in as so many months. They're gonna put her in a mental hospital for the 72 hours they're allowed to legally hold her but we already know she's probably not going to want to stay in. I just don't know what to do anymore. Pandora 77 Posted March 15, 2011 Is this Maya? Is she still seeing a therapist on a regular basis for that other issue we've been talking about?
Mara 29 Posted March 31, 2011 Prayers for my sister (and the whole team I guess). Tomorrow she leaves for Mississippi to go on a week-long mission trip. She's not really done anything like that before, and they'll be basically (I assume most if not all the team) building a house from the foundation up: framing, roofing, etc. Plus, I'm pretty sure it won't be 40 degrees as a high temperature down there, and health-wise for my sister, working hours and hours in the heat worries me. So yeah.. travel safety, work safety, for her and everyone going. And for me personally, that I actually get some sleep over the next week.
Mara 29 Posted April 28, 2011 I think everyone down in Alabama needs our thoughts and prayers.
Pandora 77 Posted May 3, 2011 The whole south. There's talk that parts of Memphis are going to be evacuated from flood waters this week. Parts of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas are already evacuated. Saw pictures of the River this morning... Arkansas is a whooooole lot farther away than it normally is... Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted May 3, 2011 The water seems to be going down a little here in Kentucky. Although, we're in for more rain, so who knows how long that will last. Right now the Ohio River's holding about a foot above major flood stage. I'm so sick of rain. Surely we'll need some in July, but we're using up all our allotment now. >.<
Pandora 77 Posted May 3, 2011 Totally! They blew a levee in Missouri last night, which flooded a ton of farms to save a town that was completely under water.

Pandora 77 Posted May 23, 2011 To say this has thus far been an "active" storm season is like saying the Death Star is "kinda" big. Prayers sent.

Ayingel 24 Posted June 9, 2011 And to add to the bad things happening to friends bit, my friend Maria is in the hospital with sepsis (sp?) and we're not sure how things are looking at the moment..
Ayingel 24 Posted June 9, 2011 Just an update from one of my friends on Facebook... Okay: so everyone knows: Maria in DBAR is really sick. She is in a coma, on life support, with 20lbs of water weight. She is septic (blood infection) and they are trying to figure out what else is wrong with her. Keep her in your thoughts/prayers!! She is at Hennepin.
Princess 35 Posted June 9, 2011 Oh wow, sorry to hear that. Hopefully they'll find out soon what is causing the infection, but it can take 5 days to identify the bacteria in the blood stream. :(
Ayingel 24 Posted June 9, 2011 The talk among us at work today was that it might have been bronchitis. She always sounded so sick when she talked, very raspy.
