Andy 60 Posted April 8, 2004 (edited) Yep, there is just over a year left until CIII happens, so we'd better get out thinking caps on and start organising something! Feel free to create any C3-related threadsas neccesary, but keep general chat to one of the existing C3 threads. I found a site a while ago that had a map of the area and stuff about CIII, it might be handy for CIII but I can't find it again... The GB C3 List 28 Jan 05 Booked! Andy 60 Posted May 17, 2004 Well, I suppose we'd better start some planning, so what are we doing, maybe some hotels would give us a discount if we booked a load of rooms together? It's worth a try. Your thoughts please.
Andy 60 Posted May 17, 2004 Okay so roll call: Who is Definitely Going to Try to Get There?
Princess 35 Posted May 17, 2004 What if we tried camping? That'd be a lot cheaper than getting a hotel and we could have loads of fun by the campfire
Bad furday 57 Posted May 17, 2004 Yes, but then we'd have to worry about facilites, baths, location etc. Not a bad idea though, but if anyone's going to bring a laptop, there will need to be a place to plug in....and trees just won't do it! Though on Hotels.com.. The best deal and option at the moment seems to be the Best Inn- Indy Airport. It's not too far from the airport, obviously. Price is a bit lower ( $41-46 average), it's 5 miles southwest of Downtown, and in 5 minutes, guest can visit the convention center, etc. According to the information given, that is. Parking is free... However, the site would not allow me to set a reservation for next year...so we'll have to see when it gets closer to the date.
Andy 60 Posted May 17, 2004 True, but we have to find a campsite in the middle of a city, lol. Oh, and possible useful link here: http://www.indy.org/

Andy 60 Posted May 17, 2004 Just wondering, how will Mr Furday there be getting to Indy, and where from?
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted May 17, 2004  add me to the "Need to beg Parents" list. actually, i need to beg my uncle.......same difference.
Bad furday 57 Posted May 18, 2004 Well, if all goes according to plan, I'll be borrowing Dad's car and driving myself there. If not, I'll be flying. If next Spring semester is late, I'll still be in PA when I leave..which means I only need to cross 1 state to get to Indy. If school lets out early, I'll have to drive over 2 states, as I'll be coming from New York. Of course, if I fly, none of the above shall matter too much. Bad furday 57 Posted May 18, 2004 It needs to be closer for me to give a definitive answer, but as far as I know, no one is preventing me from going...

Andy 60 Posted May 18, 2004 Oh just wondering, because I noticed that a lot of the flights to Indy from the UK stop off at NY.
jedimaster1043 1 Posted May 30, 2004 im not going, but i think you ppl should get a hotel. Don't forget the video games!
Sticks 1 Posted May 31, 2004 A hotel wouldn't be that bad, we could share the cost if there were two people to a room...plus if we did a campground, everyone would have to lug campers and tents there
Chickenman 9 Posted May 31, 2004 I still don't know if I can go, but if I can, I'd probably go with my dad, and not be able to hang around with people he doesn't know.
