Ender 8 Posted June 15, 2004 As some of you may know, I had a brain tumor removed about two years ago. Everything had been going fine with it, until now. I just had my followup MRI, and the scan showed that the tumor is recurring. The good news is that it's growing in a different direction, so I wont have the horrible headaches again, and my neurosurgeon said that this isnt a huge problem, taking it out wise. We dont know what we're going to do yet, but there are two ways to do this: one, they open up my head again and surgically remove it. Two, they use that nifty radiation laser thingy to destroy it. So, I'm probably going back to Iowa soon. If I'm gone for a while with no warning, that's what's going on. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ender 8 Posted June 16, 2004 LOL!! Thanks, Furday Ok, here's the scoop: I'm leaving with my mom for Iowa in a couple of hours, and I'm having the surgery on Monday morning. After that I recover for a week or so and return home. Sometime after that, I have to start radiation therapy for a month to shrivel up the little sucker. So, I'm in for the long haul. Ender 8 Posted June 18, 2004 Thanks a lot for all the support, guys. I really appreciate it. I just got done with all the damned eye tests, and the good news is that there is no permanent eye damage. Also, since the tumor is much smaller, I should be out of the hospital by the end of the week. Surgery is Monday at 12 noon. Talk to you guys later. I'm hanging at a friends house till Monday.
