Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 22, 2007 Sweeny Todd and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
CorSec 5 Posted November 23, 2007 Sweeny Todd and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Fill me in on Narnia. Is this only the second movie? How many books are there? Same actors? Are the actors going to out-age the kids they're supposed to be portraying? Or do they age quickly in the books?
Drake 53 Posted November 23, 2007 There are seven books. In many box sets and novel compilations, they have The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as the second book, with The Magician's Nephew as a prequal. Next comes The Horse and His Boy third and Prince Caspian is fourth. Really, though, C.S. Lewis wrote Wardrobe first and Caspian second. Nephew and Horse were written later. I numbered them in the order that they have been published as now but listed them in the order that they were written... 2. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe 4. Prince Caspian 5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader 6. The Silver Chair 3. The Horse and His Boy 1. The Magician's Nephew 7. The Last Battle All but Nephew and Horse deal directly with any of the four kids from the movies. The movie for Caspian goes back to those same kids.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 23, 2007 now that i see that list, it suddenly makes sense why LWW, Caspian, and Dawn Treader are the movies that get made all the time. go figure.
Mara 29 Posted November 23, 2007 Yeah.. there shouldn't be too much problem with the actors aging... as they're supposed to be a bit older in Caspian anyway. And aren't the main characters in Dawn Treader. I'm looking forward to the next one, too. The LWW was awesome.
Drake 53 Posted November 24, 2007 I think Peter and Susan get too old and can't come back after Caspian...or something...until Last Battle. I need to read the series again.
Mara 29 Posted November 26, 2007 I thought I remembered at least Susan in another one.... Horse and His Boy maybe?
Drake 53 Posted November 26, 2007 Yeah. I think one or two of them were at least mentioned in that one.
Mara 29 Posted November 26, 2007 Yeah... I don't think the four are main characters much after Caspian though. But I haven't read the books for about a year now, lol.
Ana 15 Posted December 2, 2007 The Horse and His Boy is set during the Pevensies' reign in Narnia, but in another country, so they all appear in that one but they're not the main characters. All four are in LWW, Caspian, and vaguely in HHB. Edmund and Lucy are in DT, and Peter, Edmund, and Lucy are in TLB. DT introduces Eustace, their cousin, and he travels with them to Narnia in that one. Eustace and his friend Jill go in Silver Chair. And in MN, Diggory and Polly go through, before anyone else, and Diggory grows up to be the Professor with the wardrobe who they all go to stay with in LWW. Mara 29 Posted December 18, 2007 This is strange for me... but I really want to see Atonement. And, not so strange: I am Legend..
Brumak 2 Posted December 19, 2007 Out of all the previews they had at the showing of I am Legend...the one that piqued my curiosity the most was Cloverfield. Evidently about a huge something attacking NYC.... I was interested as soon as the Statue of Liberty's head is seen soaring through the air and rolling down the street... Drake 53 Posted December 19, 2007 I'm still holding out that it's a new Godzilla movie. I'm looking forward to The Dark Knight. They previewed that one at I Am Legend. Also...RAMBO! Sweeney Todd! And, of course, The Rocket!
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted December 19, 2007 i agree. the new Batman movie looks really awesome.
Brumak 2 Posted December 19, 2007 I hope it isn't a new Godzilla movie...Hollywood destroyed what I held sacred in the Godzilla's....
Drake 53 Posted December 19, 2007 If it IS a Godzilla movie, it doesn't look like it'll be as huge of a failure as the first false American Godzilla. Which reminds me...have you seen Final Wars?
Brumak 2 Posted December 20, 2007 This is true... And no...never even heard of it actually...
