And they're explaining some stuff... although I wouldn't be surprised if the atomic blast is the reason why no one can have children on the island... but I'm starting to see that Watchmen influence that the writers keep on refusing to divulge... But this episode allows me to know HOW the show is going to end... Giant Octopus in Time Square... killing half of NYC... (They Travel Back in time) _____________________________________________ / \ Time travels normally forward.........815 crash...316 crash 1977 -------------------------------------> 2004 ---------> 2007 \......Second timeline is created due to changing of normal sequence ---------------------------------------> 2004 ----------> 2007. However, there is no crash of 815 and no subsequent crash of 316 thus creating no need to go back to 1977 to change the timeline and thus the "fixes" are not changed and so: (First Time line) 1977 ----------------------------------------------> 2004 \ The crash happens again / the Two timelines merge into one. --------------------------------------------------- (Second Time Line) "/" and "\" represent arrows pointing up and down depending on their location in the map. I'm just afraid that the show is gonna end with them "changing their future/past/whatever" so that the crash never happened. So it's almost like a dream thing. Argh. I really really hope not. Aye, I figured we would see Daniel again. I mean, after that little clip with him in the Swan dig site. Now we know more about it. And... Daniel's dad is Charles?? Didn't see that coming. You have the main time line 1977 (where they currently exist) ---------> 2004 (plane crashes) -------> 2007 (they go back to the Island) If they go back to 1977 and change the timeline, a second timeline is created: 1977 (they change the past thus) ----------> 2004 (they plane lands in LA) -----> 2007 (they don't need to go back to 1977 to fix the past) THUS the events of 1977 never are fixed and then it reverts to the first timeline..... Also, I looked up what those little flashes of pictures are for... well, it's for a new show called Flash, apparently it has yet to be picked up by ABC but they're already starting to hype it. Apparently, it's a LOST replacement but more importantly, those flashes have meaning. From what I've read on the speculation: Everyone in the world just stops for two minutes and seventeen seconds and gets a brief flash into the future.
