Some of those features being: ~smarter AI allies/enemies ~greater emphasis on story using open-ended missions ~new space battles with dogfighting X-Wing/TIE fighter/Jedi starfighter action! ~special opportunities to become a Jedi with lightsaber and Force powers ~16 new battlefronts including Utapau, Mustafar, Tantive IV, the Death Star, and the space battle above Coruscant It's planned for release November 1st. They pretty much ripped the idea from BF:1942, made it worse, and then made a ton of money off of it. (Though I've never played BF:1942 yet, it still looks much better than Battlefront.) Also, I hate the idea of being able to play as a hero. Or even having heroes at all. The thing I like best about battlefront is how it's all military themed. Drake 53 Posted August 2, 2005 That's what made Republic Commando da bomb. On the other hand, I don't think the hero thing will be available in every game. It says you have "special opportunities" to play heroes which leads me to believe you either have to unlock something for it or it's only for special missions. Brought nothing new to it. Was just like SW Battlegrounds. A spin off of a decently popular game. However! Hopefully they'll make changes and INNOVATIONS to Battlefront 2. Not just take Battlefield 2 and put a stormtrooper instead of a US soldier and a rebel instead of the chinese or something. (The vehicles are interesting with the space battles. Battlefield 42 fixed all it's bugs (six patches later, I will admit) but at least EA fixed the game and made it a really enjoyable experience. Battlefront was not so. It still is very buggy, and what the hell is with having to shoot your enemy about 15 times before they will die? I mean, unless you're a really good marksman with the sniper class, even headshots don't kill. Give me a break. Battlefield 1942 was definitely a much more high quality game. I realize that LA churns out just as many crappy games as they do good games. Battlefront did nothing new. It took BF:1942, a superior game, and slapped on some star wars themed skins.
