I've been meaning to, but I missed the series when BBC reshowed it earlier this year, cos of work. Aaaand I just haven't got round to the books...

It's been so long since I've read the books. And what's this mini-series? I've never even heard of that.

OMG, classic BBC-ness! It's all started with the radio series though. But alas I have seen/heard neither of those.

Yeah, never seen the radio series available anywhere. But they play the BBC mini series occaisionally on PBS. It's also on DVD.

The library back home had the HHGTTG radio series on cassette for you to borrow. My dad took it once and I listened to part of it.
