Uncle Du 22 Posted May 8, 2018 Currently reading Prometheus, the second book in the Halo Forerunner trilogy. And before that I finished The Enemy, a Jack Reacher book, and before that Revan. I was super pissed about the way Revan ended.
Mara 29 Posted May 13, 2018 (edited) Star Wars - Last Shot by Daniel José Older Han and Lando, past and present (sort of - it's three years after ROTJ by my reckoning). Edited May 13, 2018 by Mara

But the main seems to be the 'present' one. It's two years after Jakku ('cause Ben is 2)... which would be 3 years post-ROTJ. It also features a 'about 10 years ago' story with Han and Chewie and a 'about 15 years ago' story with Lando, that sort of give background for the main story. The "about" is the thing giving me fits... because I thought the Solo film was ten years prior to ANH. So the Han/Chewie story would be about three years pre-ANH. Making the Lando story about eight years pre-ANH... and in this one he still has the Falcon. So the film must be be closer than ten years to ANH. Because ANH-ESB is three years, and ESB-ROTJ is a year at the most, I believe. So the main story of Last Shot would be about 7 years after ANH. Math hurts. Andy 60 Posted May 19, 2018 Why do they do this to me? ?
Mara 29 Posted May 24, 2018 There was also another one, that was '20 years ago' (to the present time of the book), but that was just background on the bad guy. A quick read, but I'm working through the Star Wars comic, Poe Dameron: Legend Found. I think it's volume 4.

Mara 29 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) I feel like I'm not reading as much as I used to either. Been taking me longer to finish books than in the past. I blame work and my phone. Edited April 28, 2019 by Mara
Mara 29 Posted May 25, 2019 Star Wars - Age of Republic: Villains Decent comic so far. I enjoy the little "news articles" at the end of each issue/character.
Andy 60 Posted May 25, 2019 I'm contemplating re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire... But I know it will just annoy me when I get the end and Winds of Winter still isn't out. :P

Mara 29 Posted June 4, 2019 Haha I don't know! Anyways, followed up the Republic: Villains comic, with Star Wars - Republic: Heroes and Han Solo: Imperial Cadet. But I'm back to the (non-SW) books with Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell.
BizarroFett 1 Posted June 7, 2019 I'm debating between ol' school Robert E. Howard Conan stories or some 80's Star Wars comics.
Mara 29 Posted June 16, 2019 I just got the big ol' giant coffee table-sized (only slight exaggeration) The Star Wars Archives, by Paul Duncan. I mean, this thing is HUGE. (I weighed it; it's over 14 pounds). Well, actually the library got it for me, so it was free. (But I may end up getting myself a copy later anyway... hopefully for less than the $120-140 it's retailing at ugh). Also reading through Bullseye by James Patterson.
