Chickenman 9 Posted December 1, 2008 "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams One of the funniest books I've ever read, and I've only just begun. Have you ever seen the TV series? It's pretty awesome. Way better than the lame film the made a few years back. I have not, though I do hear it's quite good. I plan on reading the books first. Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card Classic book. He recently wrote a direct sequel that I almost picked up the other day. I didn't, because I'm pissed at Orson Scott Card at the moment, so any of his books are at the bottom of my "to read" list. Even if most of them are fantastic. :p

Chickenman 9 Posted December 9, 2008 Finished The Unifying Force, (I absolutely flew through the last 200 or so pages last night) picked up the first Dark Nest book today. Also started reading the Krytos Trap, which I would have read years ago if my dad hadn't lost it. My new copy has been sitting on the shelf for months now. Also have Jedi Trial and Republic Commando: Triple Zero sitting in reserve.

Mara 29 Posted January 12, 2009 Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor by Matthew Stover. I'm about 90 pages in so far. And I likey! I am getting lots of nice nicknames to call Tak. [Only good thing about the Mandos in the book, so far]
Drake 53 Posted January 12, 2009 I don't think you would want to hear the nicknames he would have for Kaden. Finished Mindor yesterday. It was highly entertaining all the way through.

Mara 29 Posted January 13, 2009 I don't think you would want to hear the nicknames he would have for Kaden. Finished Mindor yesterday. It was highly entertaining all the way through. I said I did, not Kaden. He doesn't have nicknames for people. 'Sides, I think he's already heard a few. :p
Drake 53 Posted January 13, 2009 I'm well aware you said that you did. I am saying that I, through Tak (the Mando), would have a colourful array of nicknames for your character as you have for mine. Understand? lol
Chickenman 9 Posted January 13, 2009 *Throws a box of tampons at each of them.* Anyway, I'm reading Luke Skywalker and Shadows of Mindor by Matthew Stover Born Standing Up by Steve Martin. It's an autobiography about his stand-up days and it's really great.
Mara 29 Posted January 16, 2009 Dune: The Butlerian Jihad by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. The first of a trilogy set thousands of years before the first Dune novel that Frank produced. Should be an interesting read.
