Who else has used v11 of WMP?

Is it just me or is the user interface totally baffling?

And WHY does it keep searching my entire HDD for media when I don't want it too?

AND it keeps ewoking crashing all the time and being generally annoying!

I only want to set up a media server to share a few videos overr my network to my PS3. GRRR!!

Um, I don't think so. At least not regularly. I think I still have version 10 on my computer. (And my dad has v9 still). Yeah, and the version at work is 9 also.

I'm mostly familiar with 10, so I dunno. :/

It knows you have a PS3, that's why. Mine works fine and lets me share movies and music with my 360 no problem.

In other words...PS3 continues to suck. ;)

v10 doesn't crash for me. But I use iTunes for most of my media.

Its alright I found a better programme to do it with anyways: http://www.tversity.com/

It's pretty awesome, it transcodes any unknown file formats into something any connected devices can read automatically :)

It's just WMP that is sithe, which I have known for years anyway. I was working on the off-chance that v11 might actually be good. Which was incorrect of me. :p

With TVersity, and another thing I tried (TwonkyMedia), I just installed it and the PS3 connected right away, which to me is further proof that WMP is crap. :p

I have the newest version, and I have a problem connecting my 360. I've followed all the directions, and I still have problems streaming media from my PC through the 360. I gave up. :p

I recommend TVersity or TwonkyMedia.

TwonkyMedia will let you play formats your 360 doesn't normally understand too. :)

You might need to find FFDShow too for that to work properly though.

Hm, I'll have to look into that. Well, once I plug my 360 back in. The living room is torn apart right now, awaiting the arrival of my 50 inch this Friday. :D

I'm just able to do the things that I wasn't able to before.

And I'm buying the TV from my boss for 400 bucks! Why don't women know a good deal when they see one? ;) Men can be thrifty too. :D

JM, those are two completely different classifications of TV. First, you would ask if the TV is LCD or plasma. Then you would ask if it's High-Def capable or Standard-Def only.

I did a research project on this stuff for school, lol.

It's an older model HD Sony. And to be honest, I don't even know if it's LCD or Plasma. And who cares, it's a 400 dollar HD TV, which is something I don't have. And I need to have HD for the first time I turn on Halo 3. :D

I use WMP 11 and I have no problems, but I don't play counsels... because they're impossible for FPS and I want my RTS.

And is the TV 780p or 1080i or 1080p?

How was AoE III? I'm wondering whether I want to buy it or not.

I don't like the new design of it... I much prefer the gameplay of II.

I played it and didn't particularly love it to death or anything. I'm waiting for Empire: Total War. AoE III time period, but TOTAL WAR!!!

Hmm... interesting.

I just wasn't a fan of the "mother ship" supplies aspect in order to help advance.

Anyway.... anyone play the Civ. games? I know they're kind of similar.

I'm currently addicted to Civ 4

I didn't mention it before because I was listing RTS games, which the Civ games are not. :p
