Tsl 7 Posted April 24, 2005 (edited) Remember that 5 year old that was arrested and removed from school in handcuffs? They have video of it now. http://www.whiotv.com/education/4409506/detail.html. That child was completely out of control. I see now why they had to call in outside help. In order to retrain her, they would have had to manhandle her and tackle her to the floor and that mom would have sued their collective pants off. As for the police action being excessive. I don't think so. I don't know why 3 showed up, but they certainly aren't being brutal. One guy is holding her hands, the female cop appears to have her hand on the girl's shoulder as a reassurance type thing and the other guy is placing the cuffs. I'm sure it was traumatic for the girl, but that's probably what she needs. A little reality check, because I'll bet you anything she gets little to no discipline at home. As for the lawyers statement that the teacher and assistant principal provoked the girl's behavior.....well that's just stupid. I hope he comes up with a better case than that or he's just wasting everybody's time and money. And this is just sad....and funny, but sad: http://www.whiotv.com/irresistible/4406522/detail.html Edited April 24, 2005 by Tsl

Tsl 7 Posted April 25, 2005 (edited) They can refuse the case This guy probably snapped this up faster than you can say "lawsuit!" Let's face it. Most people = dumb dumb people + school incident + many people disagreeing with any form of punishment for any kind of behavior + omg that poor baby factor + drama queen mom = bling In other news....this sort of sith should scare the living crap out of any Americans. I keep waiting for one of these guys to stand up and declare himself uncontested ruler of the known universe. Ah, who needs checks and balances, right? :nerves: Edited April 25, 2005 by Tsl

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted April 25, 2005 ah. the "let's get rid of the fillibuster" thing again. that does scare me. stupid Republicans don't realize that the tables will turn someday and the Dems aren't going to forget this if it passes. besides, we're talking about rewriting the Constitution when it's worked more or less for the last 200 or so years. DON'T MESS WITH IT!!!

Drake 53 Posted April 26, 2005 Hahaha. Y'know...this reminds me of a funny story I once heard. It was about this senator guy who wanted to rule his people. So he ran for office and was elected as leader. However, he was secretly evil. He started a war with these other people and then used the war to stay in power. Then he started changing all the rules so that he would have supreme power! Eventually he revealed his true evilness and declared himself as Emperor. ;)
