Princess 35 Posted December 15, 2004 First article: Yet another reason why I dislike the electoral college Second article: Good for him. There's a time and a place for foul language and a restaurant is not one of those places
Alexander 0 Posted December 15, 2004 What was once perceived as "foul" language has become socially accepted in most places. Words being "foul" is a mindset. If words hurt you, then you're weak!
TheUnknown 39 Posted December 15, 2004 I agree with what Alex said. It's ludicrous that certain forms of words are "dirty words," but it's okay to use words that mean the exact same thing. For example, "ass" is a dirty word, but you can say "butt," "arse," "buttocks," "rump," etc. "Piss" is a dirty word, but "urine" and "pee" aren't. "F***" is a dirty word, but "nookie," "sex," "intercourse," etc aren't.
Bad furday 57 Posted December 15, 2004 And the more you observe people and their reactions, the more you realize what illogical and strange creatures those humans are... ie: we draw an imaginary line and say that things that are outside of our own accepted norms have "crossed the line"....
