Mara 29 Posted May 12, 2008 This is an idea I have been thinking about for a while.. but not quite sure how to pull it off. What I am thinking now, is to have it like an adventurey type RP story (ala The Illiad or The Odyssey) and hopefully wouldn't deal too much with Caesars, politics, etc. It would probably be easier to do it this way with characters, than for us to try to focus on forums and all that senate stuff in the main cities. Right now, I am thinking characters could be either mortals or immortals (obviously, heroes and adventurers always have divine help) with a limit on the gods. I am totally open to tweaking this idea. You can ask some questions for clarification if you need to before voting.
Ender 8 Posted May 12, 2008 Aw, I like the politics bit...
Mara 29 Posted May 12, 2008 Well, I thought it might be easier to skip it. But if enough people enjoy that, I could find a way to put it in.
Ender 8 Posted May 13, 2008 Cool... but we'd need others first. Perhaps we should offer orgies as an incentive?
Mara 29 Posted May 13, 2008 Ahahaha... Perhaps. And lots of wine.

Mara 29 Posted May 16, 2008 Okay, here's the thing... I think we need to figure out whether we do Roman or Greek.. What I'm thinking is (even though I know both eras were similar, just focusing it a bit) that if we stay in the Greek era, we'd have those gods and stuff... maybe the heroes... and probably focus more on adventurey stuff. If we go more towards the Roman side, it'd be more political and Caesar stuff... along with those gods, etc. What do we think?
Ender 8 Posted May 17, 2008 I'd prefer Rome, but I'd probably go for Greek, too.

Winters 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Yes, Winters, you may be in. Once I figure out some sort of plot/starting point.... And to the Coliseum with the rest of you! Ahem... As a Classical Studies minor, unless Ana wishes to come around and bother me with how little I know.... the "Coliseum" that you speak of would in fact be the Flavian Ampheatre...
