Uncle Du 22 Posted December 30, 2009 I'm an E-6. I'm still in the reserves and it's pretty much a joke. I know it's not that bad, and I know how to do it and all, but there's the distinct possibility that they might not even let me back on active duty any way. Sticks 1 Posted December 30, 2009 I know what you mean...I spent about 6 months (too many) in the Reserves. I think about 75% of my unit couldn't pass their pt test even *rolls eyes*
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 30, 2009 It's a manning thing with the Navy now. If I were to go back in as an E-6, it would cost them more money than it would cost to train 2 new people in the same thing I did. I do have a critically manned NEC which could help (kinda like an MOS), but being that I'm an E-6, I'm more geared towards leadership and supervision in that pay grade. I wouldn't actually be doing the job that my NEC pertains to, which makes me less marketable to come back in. Yea, the reserves is pretty much a joke. We have some E-7's and above that are all into it, but in reality, we're not really doing anything. It's nice to have the little bit of extra income, but I'm not even doing something in relation to my original training. What branch were you in Sticks? Mara 29 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) I just did a show at work where people were buying a vacation house on St. Croix. It looked so nice compared to what I see out my window. Glad to have ya back, Sticks! :D Edited December 30, 2009 by Mara

James the Defender 7 Posted December 31, 2009 I love when Flagg pops out of the trash can outside the mess to talk to Charles. "Your mother, your father, and your sister Hon-a-rea." "That's Honoria."
