I learned a long time ago that, while it might feel good to drown your sorrows in the bottle for a while, it doesn't work out in the end. I don't use alcohol to "medicate", learned my lesson there. Sticks 1 Posted January 4, 2010 Well...let's see...takes 1.5 years to get to 1lt. Should be getting close to captain at the three year mark. Most other Army branches are just as fast progressing through the company grade officer ranks, though. Once you get to captain (in MI) you can specialize...and how fast you progress through the ranks from there really depends on what you specialize in and their need for officers. Uncle Du 22 Posted January 4, 2010 Gotcha. It's all wicked confusing in the Navy. There are so many different areas for Naval Officers to progress through, it's hard to keep track.
