Mara 29 Posted November 2, 2009 We only handed out Crunch bars; my mom thought it was easier if everyone got the same thing. Had a Vader show up. And an Elvis who even said "thank you very much" like Elvis when he left, haha.

Uncle Du 22 Posted November 3, 2009 Well, if you're not British, I think you have an excuse for not being very knowledgeable on the subject. Not to take away from those Americans that are of course. ;)
Princess 35 Posted November 3, 2009 Good, I'm safe then.
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 4, 2009 *drops into a booth with cold one* Phew, been gettin' all my stuff together to start school in January. I've been approved for full financial aid and I'm waiting on confirmation from the VA for my GI Bill benefits. I know I'll get it, but it's the VA, so it's going to take like two months to get it. I can't wait to start!! Two months from today!!

Uncle Du 22 Posted November 4, 2009 I'm good to go on that end. I was able to make sure I had everything I needed, and the school is on top of it too. I can't wait to get paid to get a degree! :D
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 6, 2009 Man, what I would give to be able to get outta the house and go to a bar, or something. It's been well over 10 months since I've stepped foot in a bar.

Uncle Du 22 Posted November 6, 2009 Man, I love dive bars. I miss my regular spot down in VA. Good times, throwin' darts, meetin' new people, winning free drinks. ;)

Princess 35 Posted November 11, 2009 So, yesterday, mom and I were leaving an Applebee's on our way home, we hadn't eaten all day, and I was really depressed and teary and as we were walking out, You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban started playing on the radio and it just made me feel better. Andy 60 Posted November 11, 2009 (edited) "We await your urgent response," is possibly the rudest way to sign an official-ish email I have ever seen. Thankfully, it was another case of someone telling someone the wrong email address, so it wasn't for me. lol Edited November 11, 2009 by Andy
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 12, 2009 Isn't it amazing how when something is written (or emailed these days), how many different ways it can be taken out of context? I got a message from my nest friend the other day, and they way he wrote it, I thought he was mad at me. I had to call and ask him, lol.
