Ender 8 Posted January 30, 2010 The second version is always better, but I doubt I'll need/want one.
Bad furday 57 Posted January 30, 2010 I'm sure Du picked Hells Yeah! I have no need for one at the moment... thought I can certainly see the benefits of having one.
Ana 15 Posted January 31, 2010 I know that I have no real need for it... but dear sweet Jesus I want it. Yeah, they'll likely improve it on the next model, but for the present, it's the definitive mothereffing datapad. It's a lovely futuristic touchscreen datapad. Even if it's old news in a year, I still WANT it now. Impulse control is the key here. *cannot go to Apple's website anymore*
Bad furday 57 Posted January 31, 2010 (edited) *restrains Ana* No Apple website for you! -you know, that's something we should keep an eye out for at C5...people waiting in line, typing away on iPads :p Edited January 31, 2010 by Bad furday

I know that the second gen version will be better, but there's just something about the way Apple products smell when you open that box for the first time. *swoons*

Master Hayes 1 Posted February 1, 2010 Ok, since I'm extremely tech challenged I'll be the dumbass and ask, what the hell is it?

Uncle Du 22 Posted February 1, 2010 iPad.... So, I was in an AT&T store today, and I asked about the pricing for the 3G plan with the iPad. It's going to be 30 bucks a month, unlimited access, and no contract. You don't have to renew a current contract with AT&T or even have one to begin with. I think this might be because we're going to start seeing the iPhone get shipped to different carriers in the next year or two, so AT&T is trying to garner some favor with consumers by not making you get a contract if all you want is an iPad. Master Hayes 1 Posted February 4, 2010 Du that does look pretty cool. I wouldn't have any need for one though. Hell, I'm sick of my cell phone, but it's something I need for right now. The pricing and no contract stuff from AT&T is cool, but I'm not a fan of AT&T. I'm not a fan of my current carrier Sprint either for that matter. The over the phone customer service sucks. In April I'll be able to start looking into a different carrier. Ender, I did say I was tech challenged.
Sticks 1 Posted February 12, 2010 Already have a Sony ebook reader...don't think I'll invest in this unless my Sony breaks. Although the fact that it has internet would be nice...still, have a computer that works just fine, internet on my phone, and an ebook reader. I'm good for now. Ana 15 Posted April 10, 2010 And now that I've actually met Apple's newest arrival, I am EVEN MORE IN LOVE WITH IT THAN I THOUGHT (KNEW) I'D BE. It is SO pretty, and SO seamless in its flow, and the typing capability impressed the hell out of me. I have since made my interest veryveryvery clear to my dad, and with Grad coming up in May... well. I'll just bide my time in sweet yearning.
