Bad furday 57 Posted April 11, 2013 Lol, I'm painting like I haven't painted in ages...it's for a friend's surprise 30th birthday party. Reflections are hard...but luckily, I can re-enact the pose with figures and a mirror, so I don't have to guess inaccurately. I'll post pics here after April is done- his party's on the 30th, and the painting's nearly done, just a few finishing touches, then framed and shipped out- to Oklahoma. Tsl 7 Posted April 12, 2013 I've decided to rework my arts portfolio, because for a while, I hadn't made anything new...Still going for an illustration/design type job, but I'm thinking that instead of sending out resumes and such, I should put my works into a small book and mail that out along with a resume, it might be more effective.... Cool! Good luck, Furday! Sounds like a tough job to get, but I think a portfolio would be a great idea to get potential employers interested in your mad skills. Pandora 77 Posted April 21, 2013 I started my pre-employment stuff at the VA medical center on Friday. Did my fingerprinting for the uber-background-check and my physical. I have already literally bled for this job. I think I'm going to have to invest in a pair of sneakers to get from my car to my lab.
