Bad furday 57 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) That's what the next button is for. ... There's nothing quite like rotating around the dance floor with a pretty girl's head on your chest! *points to pics of him and Trista* Edited January 18, 2011 by Bad furday
Pandora 77 Posted January 18, 2011 So... you're saying you got some of your social skills back? I LOVED that FB status, btw. I've turned in my notice of resignation to the evil empire!! *does the take this job and shove it dance*
Bad furday 57 Posted January 18, 2011 So... you're saying you got some of your social skills back? I LOVED that FB status, btw. This one? Tonight's the kohls holiday party. "I'll take 'Which of My Social Skills Have Been Destroyed for $500 please, Alex!" ... "What is...all of them?" Oh yeah! Well, it helped that the girls were quite drunk...and just wanted to be danced with, because the male/female ratio was a bit lopsided.:D
Princess 35 Posted January 18, 2011 lol, I totally missed that status
Pandora 77 Posted January 19, 2011 I didn't. I could totally relate!
James the Defender 7 Posted January 19, 2011 *slumps into a booth, orders a quintuple of the strongest drink evar* I had not been bitten by the economy until now. I can't get a loan! I need money to get the Mustang, but since I'm not using the car as collateral (my parents are giving me the money once I've secured the loan and I'm paying them back with it), I can't even get a simple $2,900 loan! However, it looks like if worse comes to worse, my parents will give me the money and I'll pay them back with every extra cent that comes from my and Caity's checks. It'd take about two and a half months. See, Mom's unemployed and Dad's disability just ran out while he's waiting for a court decision. So, they would need the money back ASAP. Therefore, Caity and I would live an ascetic lifestyle. Good for losing weight, lol. We'll live on bread and water, but at least when I go to get my bread from the store, I'll be in a really cool car! :p
Mara 29 Posted January 19, 2011 A bad time to mention I got a raise at work? :p
Mara 29 Posted January 20, 2011 It's only an extra 75 cents. :p
James the Defender 7 Posted January 21, 2011 It's only an extra 75 cents. Largest raise I ever received was 50 cents...
Princess 35 Posted January 21, 2011 This is my new place (minus two rooms that are still full of stuff)
Pandora 77 Posted January 21, 2011 Very nice! Good luck with it! I might take some pics of our "new" place when we get moved in next month... we're actually moving in with my parents so we will be able to save up for a downpayment on a house whenever we leave for me to work on my ph.d. But we're doing some serious renovations, so it'll be like three apartments that share a kitchen. I'm kind of excited actually, if for no other reason than I won't have to live above a neighbor that keeps his unit beyond freezing in the winter and blistering in the summer (making climate control in our unit impossible) and under the neighbors that hold riverdance practice and bowling competitions at all hours of the night and day. Princess 35 Posted January 21, 2011 Thanks! Good luck with your renovations
Pandora 77 Posted January 21, 2011 Well nothing's been irreversibly destroyed yet, so we'll see how it turns out...
Princess 35 Posted January 21, 2011 That's a good starting point
Mara 29 Posted January 21, 2011 Saving for a down payment takes forever. Well, actually that part I have; it's the money I'll need after that I need more of. Furniture, bills, emergency/spare, etc. Did you get a house or a condo, Prin? I'm trying to decide myself which way I want to go.
Princess 35 Posted January 22, 2011 I'm renting my aunt's house. She had to move to Louisiana to get a job.
Ayingel 24 Posted January 22, 2011 I have a condo Mara. It really depends on what you want, I think. The nice thing for me is that my heating bills are low (since I have downstairs neighbors and live on the top floor), I don't have to shovel, I have underground parking, no water bill, and it was a little cheaper I think. The downfalls are closet space, you live in an apartment building (which can have varying degrees of niceness and badness depending on the association), I pay association fees, and I only have one bathroom. Pandora 77 Posted January 22, 2011 I'm just excited that I won't have to go up and down stairs to get my groceries inside anymore!! There's even neighbor kids that I grew up babysitting that are all older teenagers now and love me and will help. God I miss having good neighbors. We're just not getting that in the apartment lifestyle. But we don't have to take care of a lawn, which we don't have time for with work and school now anyway. Pandora 77 Posted January 24, 2011 God I hate not having satellite. How was it?
Bad furday 57 Posted January 24, 2011 It was the original series- torrented the telecast from the BBC the night it aired. Don't care much for Top Gear US. Clarkson tried proving how great the Skoda Yeti was, by, among other things, having someone get tattooed in the back whilst he drove across a pasture. May tested out the new Ariel Atom with a V8, and Hammond tried to prove that the Porsche 911 wasn't a very expensive VW Beetle.
