Princess 35 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) Anyone else watch this? What think you? Edited August 26, 2013 by TheUnknown Added Tags
Ayingel 24 Posted June 6, 2011 Robert's been watching it, I just saw my first episode last night. I was pretty interested in the show, but I'm lost as to what all is happening!
Princess 35 Posted June 6, 2011 If you have HBO you should have access to HBO on demand and the episodes should be available on there
Andy 60 Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) Sky Atlantic is in the middle of showing the entire first series over two days here, so I've been recording it all to watch. Currently only up to the second episode but I'm really enjoying it so far. Missed it when it was on before because we didn't have satellite then. Also it has the most epic title sequence ever. I have been meaning to read A Song of Fire and Ice for a long while but never got round to it, but now I'll definitely have to! Andy 60 Posted February 27, 2012 Hmm... do I buy the second book and risk spoiling the TV series? Decisions decisions...
Princess 35 Posted May 7, 2012 I've read all the books, so I know what's going to happen, but it's still cool watching it play out. I also like as a new location is introduced in the show, the area pops up in the opening sequence.
Bad furday 57 Posted May 8, 2012 I did like when that guy had molten gold poured on his head...but other than that, it's a time period I hope never to be transported back to via temporal rift, stargate, etc. :p
Princess 35 Posted May 8, 2012 LOL! Do you like running water and internet porn too much? :p
Bad furday 57 Posted May 8, 2012 Lol, where the height of technology is the longbow, and people bathed maybe once a year, good dental hygiene was non existent, and you'd get suspicious looks for talking about planets revolving around their sun in far away galaxies....no thanks, I'll pass. :p
Princess 35 Posted April 5, 2013 It's back..... The intro just makes me shiver
Master Hayes 1 Posted April 16, 2013 I love the show! I've read the first 4 books, and debating on when to start the 5th. Season 3 is good so far, but there's just to much book to try and cram in 10 episodes.
Princess 35 Posted April 18, 2013 I know. And season 4 is going to be interesting since books 4 & 5 start at the same time.
Drake 53 Posted June 5, 2013 Mmm. I love all the shock and rage on Facebook, Buzzfeed, etc. regarding the Red Wedding. Delicious. Looking forward to seeing how they do Lady Stoneheart. ;)
TheUnknown 39 Posted August 1, 2013 I love this show. Epic title sequence, great characters, great chemistry between charaters, great acting (even from the child actors). I think my three favorite characters are Tyrion, Danaerys, and Arya. Also, the reactions to the Red Wedding are awesome! I've watched this one several times, and it still makes me laugh:
Andy 60 Posted August 1, 2013 In an update to my last post in this thread... I've read all the books. :p
TheUnknown 39 Posted August 9, 2013 (edited) I heard a hilarious metaphor the other day. They said Joffrey is like Justin Bieber on bath salts. Edited January 13, 2014 by TheUnknown

Master Hayes 1 Posted September 8, 2013 You're stuck until March Not just March, but the ass end of March. The 30th to be exact.
Uncle Du 22 Posted October 22, 2013 I had steered clear of this phenomenon for quite some time, for the sole reason that I was afraid if I picked it up, it would consume me. Oops. I started watching the show in July when I was traveling for work and then proceeded to watch all three seasons over the course of five days. When I realized that I wasn't coming home for at least another three weeks at that point, I picked up the books. I'm now half-way through book five. It's pretty awesome. Knowing what's to come in the show hasn't really spoiled anything for me. The show is just so well done. And they'll take small liberties, and I'm cool with that. The overall story remains the same. What's crazy to me, the Red Wedding was more violent and surprising in the show than it was in the book. In the book you could see it coming a mile away. Guess that's the biggest difference to me. There's tons of foreshadowing in the books, just because you know what the person is thinking. It was way more obvious in the book that, despite being an excellent battle commander, Robb was still a 16 year old boy at heart, and didn't want anything but Frey's men. That being said, I still want that douche to die.

Andy 60 Posted January 14, 2014 I really cannot wait for this.
TheUnknown 39 Posted January 14, 2014 Nor can I. The only good thing about having to wait until April 6 is that's the week after The Walking Dead finale. So I don't have to choose between the two as they would otherwise be on at the same time.
