I work in drug abuse prevention. All the data I have says race doesn't matter too, too much. :p

Depends on your sample population. If you're in a community or youth sample, no it really doesn't because there's not too much statistically significant difference. But in a college setting there are big differences, and it's such an understudied demographic.

So I ended up going with this: open floorplans (i.e., little to no interior partitions) encourage racial tolerance. Got a good operational definition, and a college campus with a roughly 50/50 racial mix.

Thanks for the ideas y'all! I have a bunch of other mini-studies that I have to complete this semester alone (not to mention I eventually have to go a thesis study) that I'm going to keep all this in mind. :)
