Andy 60 Posted January 20, 2014 Director JJ Abrams has revealed that the Star Wars Episode VII script has been finished after it was delayed last year.Abrams was asked at the Television Critics Association press tour while promoting his new series Believe, where he stated that the script is complete and they were now in "deep prep" for filming. He spoke about Imax, too, and said that he would use Imax if the situation was right for it. "The problem with IMAX is that it’s a very loud camera. It’s a very unreliable camera. Only so much film can be in the camera. You can’t really do intimate scenes with it. It’s slow. They break down often."There has also been more recent casting rumours, such as Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons, who although earlier in the week denied his involvement with Star Wars Episode VII, Abrams has since confirmed that he has been in talks with Plemons. Dame Judy Dench has also been tipped for the role of Mon Mothma, but this is more likely to be purely wishful thinking. In related news, Carrie Fisher has told reporters that she, along with Mark Hamil and Harrison Ford are due to start filming in March or April. Fisher can also be seen with James Earl Jones in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory later this month. Click here to view the article
Princess 35 Posted January 24, 2014 Star Wars in IMAX would be awesome
Mara 29 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) I dunno about IMAX. Besides the extra price for the tickets, I'd prefer regular screen. I saw Ep. 2 on IMAX and I don't think it really added anything. (Though the Yoda vs. Dooku right was pretty rad.) Anyway, I just hope the script is good. Edited February 22, 2014 by Mara

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted February 22, 2014 Pretty sure the film will be good. This is Disney we're talking about and even their bad stuff is usually not as horrible as the prequel trilogy. The more important plea: please don't muck up the EU.
Andy 60 Posted February 23, 2014 We watched Thor 2 again the other night, and as you know Marvel is a Disney property and that was pretty good on the sci-fi front. Did kind of make me wonder if that it's what Disney Star Wars would be like.
Mara 29 Posted February 24, 2014 Well, if I remember right, even though Disney does own Marvel, Marvel studios is still in charge of the films and such, not Disney directly. But I could be wrong, lol.
Andy 60 Posted February 24, 2014 Yeah, as far as I know Lucasfilm still "exists" in a similar capacity.
