Andy 60 Posted March 10, 2018 So, it looks like something is actually happening about a live action TV series this time! Jon Favreau has signed on to executive produce and write for the mysterious as yet untitled show. http://www.starwars.com/news/jon-favreau-to-executive-produce-write-live-action-star-wars-series
Mara 29 Posted March 10, 2018 All to be on Disney's new streaming service, lol. Along with other shows and movies produced specifically for it. But I'm excited nonetheless. A live-action show has been in the works on and off for several years. I wonder what time period they will go with. I'm hoping for something post-ROTS, pre-ANH. Andy 60 Posted March 11, 2018 Yeah, I'm not sure why studios think that everybody want to sign up to 370 different streaming services, but never mind, lol
Mara 29 Posted March 17, 2018 Nope... Disney will probably get my money on a monthly basis.
Andy 60 Posted October 6, 2018 So yeah, the new live action TV show was announced recently. Sadly it's only going to be on Disney Play or whatever their silly platform is called. Will definitely have to subscribe to that and not find some other way around it... ? I put a bit of an article up here with some of the known details, I'll try and add more as I find out about it but keeping on top of things is hard, lol
Mara 29 Posted October 10, 2018 Do we know that it's Legends and not canon? I assumed it would be canon... But anyway, yes, it looks like it could be pretty cool. But I'm a sucker for more Post-Episode 6/Pre-Episode 7 stuff. And I'll be subscribing to the Disney streaming service anyway to watch the rest of Clone Wars. Mara 29 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) Haha. Who do you think will be under the helmet? I'm thinking probably more of a new/unknown actor, but you never know... While looking for casting info for it, I did come across this: https://comicbook.com/starwars/2018/11/11/star-wars-the-mandalorian-carl-weathers-cast/ Edited November 12, 2018 by Mara
Mara 29 Posted November 17, 2018 Couple more casting updates: We finally have our (likely) Mandalorian. And perhaps a love interest?? Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano. https://screenrant.com/star-wars-mandalorian-pedro-pascal-cast/ https://deadline.com/2018/11/the-mandalorian-gina-carano-1202502117/
Mara 29 Posted December 2, 2018 Now we have Nick Nolte. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/nick-nolte-joins-pedro-pascal-star-wars-series-mandalorian-1164696 I definitely need to watch this now.
TheUnknown 39 Posted December 12, 2018 So Oberyn Martell is going to be in it? That's awesome.
Andy 60 Posted December 16, 2018 Looking forward to this, although I'm not sure how I'm going to watch it yet. Hopefully it gets a Blu-ray release eventually.
Mara 29 Posted December 21, 2018 I think there was a more updated cast list that came out... Will look for it. https://www.cinemablend.com/television/2463436/star-wars-the-mandalorian-an-updated-cast-list But they also revealed the other day that Ludwig Goransson (from Black Panther) would be doing the score. Mara 29 Posted August 24, 2019 Woot woot! Looks good! Doesn't reveal too much which is good.
Andy 60 Posted August 24, 2019 Yeah I know, it looks good. They've still not announced a release date for the UK yet. Surely they know that people aren't going to wait for the official channels to become available? When HBO realised that people couldn't wait a day for Game of Thrones they started having it aired at the same time over here, even though it was at 2am or something like that. Mara 29 Posted August 26, 2019 Strange. Is Disney + going to be available internationally or will it be on some other service for you guys?
Andy 60 Posted August 26, 2019 They literally haven't said anything at all as far as I know. ?
Mara 29 Posted October 29, 2019 2 weeks is a long time! Ahh!
Andy 60 Posted November 13, 2019 So, how was it? Disney+ doesn't launch until March 2020 here, and I'm currently in the prices of moving so don't have my property Internet set up to find an... alternative source.
TheUnknown 39 Posted November 13, 2019 I also haven't watched it yet as I don't have the money for Disney Plus (Hell, at this point, I don't have the money for electricity and propane).
