The Force Awakens at Oscars 2016

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been nominated for five Oscars at this year's 88th Academy Awards. Although as expected The Force Awakens failed to make the cut for some of the top awards it was nominated in five of the more technical categories that honor the high production values of the film industry, and it faces some stiff competition from some of 2015's big hits. You can find a list of the awards The Force Awakens is in the running for along with its fellow nominees below: Best editing The Big Short Mad Max: Fury Road The Revenant Spotlight Star Wars: The Force Awakens Best original score Bridge of Spies Carol The Hateful Eight Sicario Star Wars: The Force Awakens Best sound editing Mad Max: Fury Road The Martian The Revenant Sicario Star Wars: The Force Awakens Best sound mixing Bridge of Spies Mad Max: Fury Road The Martian The Revenant Star Wars: The Force Awakens Best visual effects Ex Machina Mad Max: Fury Road The Martian The Revenant Star Wars: The Force Awakens The awards ceremony will take place at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on 28th February 2016.
  2. A new Awards System will soon become active, and we'd like to hear your suggestions for awards to be added. Current awards and their categories can be seen from the new 'Awards' tab in the header navigation menu. I intend to add awards from the old Psychopathic Jedi awards ceremonies, amongst others.
